Terms and Conditions of Booking Covid Tests

Travel and airline regulations, and entry requirements for different countries are changing daily due to the current Covid-19 pandemic. The Melton Clinic cannot give advice on the Covid-19 test requirements for your travel plans.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the appointment you have been offered and booked falls within your required testing or travel requirements. If you are unsure of this, you would need to check this with your airlines or on the gov.uk website.

The Melton Clinic will not be liable for any losses or disruption if you book and have a Covid-19 test that falls outside the window of testing requirements for your planned travel or intended purpose.

No test is 100% accurate as with any laboratory investigations. The Melton Clinic uses the most accurate tests currently available through certified and accredited laboratories, which are independent of The Melton Clinic. The possibility of false positives, false negatives, and failed samples are present in any pathology investigation including Covid-19 tests, though their occurrence is extremely low (less than 1%).

The Melton Clinic will not be held liable for any disruption or losses that could occur due to the independent laboratory’s results, be it positive, negative, or an inconclusive / failed sample. If you believe the results, you have received may be a “false positive” or “false negative” result, and you would like a re-test, you would be liable to cover the costs of further or repeat investigations, and associated expenses.

If pathology samples are reported by the independent laboratory to be “failed samples” or “inconclusive” where they are not able to give a result, we will contact you as soon as it is informed by the laboratory. We will offer a full refund, where a test was reported as failed or inconclusive, so long as the test was done at our clinic by one of our clinicians and was not a postal self-test.  Alternatively, you have the option of undergoing a repeat test with ourselves (up to the value of the initial failed test) at the earliest availability. The Melton Clinic, however, will not be held liable for disruption of plans or losses due to the independent laboratory providing a “failed” or “inconclusive” test result.

Once a reference number has been generated and issued to you no refunds are available, but we can change the day and time of your test. This includes if the guidelines change after you have booked. Any other cancellations, once a booking is made and paid for, will be subject to a £10 administration fee.
